Description: This activity stresses the importance of writing clear, unbiased survey questions. It explores the types of bias present in surveys and ways to reduce these biases. In addition, the activity covers some basics of surveys, such as: population, sample, sampling frame, and sampling method. Prior to doing this activity, students should have a strong background in the vocabulary behind surveys. Otherwise, this is a worthwhile activity for any more advanced statistics classrooms.
