Description: The Simulation and Game Development Department, a project of NSF's Advanced Technological Education program, of Wake Technical Community college strives to "ensure that our students receive practical training in the use of industry standard software, to provide them with the skills necessary to succeed in the highly competitive video game and simulation industry." On this site, visitors will find information about the project, how to become involved, a virtual tour, a student gallery of projects, and upcoming events. The Speaker Series section, which the department hosted in 2006-2007, contains five audio recordings of lectures on the gaming industry on topics such as the economics of the industry and how to get started in it.
