Title: Wetlands International PDF
Url: http://www.wetlands.org/
Publisher: Wetlands International.
Description: Established as a non-governmental organization, Wetlands International is concerned with promoting the conservation and wise use of wetlands on the global, regional, and national levels. Much of the information on the site is contained within a dozen or so sections along the left-hand side of the homepage. First-time visitors may want to read through the "About Us" area before proceeding to the "Introduction to Wetlands" area. Scholars and policy analysts will want to also look through the "Publications" area. Here they will find information sheets on peatland loss, user handbooks on various wetland regions, and related fact sheets for general use. Visitors may also want to peruse the "Biodiversity Programmes" area to learn more about the species and habitats that Wetlands International works to preserve through their advocacy work. The site is rounded out by a collection of recent news stories and press releases.
