Creator: Murphy, Tom
Publisher: American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges
Description: This lesson was created by Tom Murphy as part of Edmonds Community College's Tribal Community Project. Designed as a half-semester course, this site describes a project in which teams of approximately four students collaborate on the production of multimedia presentations on the cultural, historical, political, and social development of a tribal community around Puget Sound. The Course/Project Description section gives a detailed account of week-by-week objectives and links to further resources. It would be an excellent way to introduce mathematical concepts in an applied fashion to anthropology students.
