Description: PBS presents this game in which students are asked to rearrange and rotate a set of geometric shapes to form the image of a rabbit, candle, fox, and others. Tangram "is an ancient game that originated in China" and it teaches students basic geometry and algebra concepts. It is a great beginning activity to get students in the classroom thinking about geometry and can be used as a lead in to more complex topics such as tessellations.
