Description: The Earth Sciences Portal is described as a searchable links directory and a Web crawler search engine that spans all the Web-based information of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Earth Sciences Directorate. Users can browse the hierarchy of Earth Sciences categories and sub-categories "created by people, not computer programs." These include Atmospheric and Climate Studies, Earth Science Technology, Hydrospheric Studies, Terrestrial Physics, and many more. Each subcategory in turn contains the sites and their descriptions, a date that it was added, and its number of hits. This well-designed informative resource does a great job of clearly presenting the Web site information and giving users helpful added features such as a what's new and what's cool section.
