Description:
This is a case study presented by the University of Pittsburgh Department of Pathology where a 45-year-old man suffered from ataxia of gait and dizziness as well as intermittent headache for two years. These impairments were progressive. The case study provides imaging and operative description as well as microscopic description in order to allow the user the opportunity to diagnose the patient. Clicking on the final diagnosis link will provide users with a discussion of the actual diagnosis along with important learning points as well as a list of references. This is an excellent resource for students in health sciences to familiarize themselves with using patient history and laboratory results to develop a diagnosis. It is also a helpful site for educators to use to introduce or test student learning in neuropathology.
