Url: https://www.nnin.org/education-training/k-12-teachers/nanotechnology-c...
Publisher: National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network
Description:

This lesson, presented by the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network, covers the metric system of measurement. In this activity, students will "relate the size and scale of objects to various metric units, including the very small nano-scale." This activity will take two 50 minute classroom sessions and will allow students to explore and utilize problem solving skills based around the metric system. A Teacher Preparation Guide, Student Guide, Prefix Cards, Power of Ten cards, and Next Generation Manufacturing Standards for this lesson are included.
