This activity provides a real world application of the ATEEC Recommended Core Curriculum. This curriculum was identified by ATEEC Fellows as necessary preparation for environmental technology occupation. In the activity, students will perform a variety of tests on different types of surface water collected from the nearby area. At the end of the lesson, students will understand how to "select, calibrate, and use sampling and monitoring equipment; Draw, read, or interpret blue prints, flow diagrams, schematics, sketches, maps, and charts; apply ratios and proportions to solve problems; interpret and extrapolate data."
