Description: In this 17 page article from the International Journal of Gender, Science and Technology, researchers analyzed data from 140 Latina and Caucasian girls in a California middle school during the first day of an IT-intensive after school program. They found that a young woman’s interest in computer science could be predicted from her curiosity about technology and the support of her peers and teachers.
