Description: The Advanced Technology Environmental and Energy Center (ATEEC) presents this instructional module on bioremediation of contaminants in the environment. The example of an oil spill near Bemidji, Minnesota is highlighted: by looking at an example from real life, students can gain a better understanding of the causes of such an accident and environmental considerations. A student WebQuest activity is also provided, including links to online resources on oil spills.
