Description: In this lesson from Math Machines, students will "use specified design criteria to compare and contrast four proposed software solutions for a control problem." The class will take a look at an engineering problem and try to come up with a creative solution for it. A "Smart SAM" robot with a graphic calculator will be used in the exercise.
A participant handout (including worksheets) and facilitator notes are made available for download in DOC file format. Links to calculator programs, sample data and details for programmers are also included.
