Description:
This activity for high school students from the Florida Advanced Technological Education (FL-ATE) Center asks students to figure out the number of individual containers, boxes and pallets of orange juice that will be loaded onto a train car. This activity is the third in a series of three (which may also be found on FL-ATE's site) which ask students to redesign a product's packaging. The lesson asks students to use math, science and engineering to come up with the correct answer. This is the third part of a three-part activity, begun here.
