Url: https://www.nsta.org/ncss-case-study/boldly-go-or-not
Creator: Zavrel, Eric
Publisher: National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science
Description: This case study asks students to look at the reasons why scientific programs are funded by government agencies. The case study is based on a fictional public forum, but the situation is real. Through the case, learners will begin to draw parallels between historical events and the present scientific environment. The material would be appropriate for lower level undergraduate students. The case study and teaching notes may be downloaded in PDF format. The site also includes a section for instructor feedback where general comments may be read and contributed.
