Description:
This case study will introduce students to the important concepts of scientific discovery and inquiry through the example of a living coelacanth, a fish which was believed to be extinct for over 70 million years. It would be most useful in upper level biology courses. The case study and teaching notes may be downloaded in PDF format. The site also includes a section for instructor feedback where general comments may be read and contributed.
