Description: With a variety of information and resources freely available, this site is a valuable tool for anyone interested in better understanding and promoting the health benefits of physical activity for those with disabilities. Users can find information either by first choosing a type of disability or a type of physical activity and then can explore one of the many multi page articles to learn more. Examples of the types of topics covered include the benefits of exercise to those with Alzheimer's disease, teaching yoga to people with disabilities, cancer and exercise and weight training for people with disabilities - many of these articles include video to help users understand how exercises or activities are adapted for a specific disability type. An entire section of the site is dedicated to research being done on disability and exercise and an extensive reference library is also provided which includes information about relevant books, journals articles, videos and pamphlets.
