Title: Water Testing and Analysis by the United States Geological Survey PDF

Description: This activity enables students to meet and interact with practicing scientists, to see scientific equipment being used by professionals, and to participate in a local data gathering and analysis exercise. It also should provide the student with some information on the attributes of clean or potable water. Each student will collect a water sample and bring it to class to be tested by a visiting United States Geological Survey (USGS) scientist. They will then fill out data sheets and answer questions based on this data.
