Title: Earthwatch Radio: Sea Lamprey Resurgence
Url: http://ewradio.org/program.aspx?ProgramID=4113
Creator: Kalinowski, Laura
Publisher: University of Wisconsin--Madison. Sea Grant College Program
Description: This radio broadcast describes efforts to control the population of sea lampreys in the Great Lakes. Sea lampreys, an invasive species from the Atlantic Ocean, have populated the lakes for years, but have recently increased in numbers despite efforts to control them. A hole in a dam on the Manistique River on the northern edge of Lake Michigan is thought to have caused the problem. The clip is 2 minutes in length and may be downloaded in MP3 format.
