Title: Education for Geo-Hazards: How to survive hazards when you are on holiday
Url: http://www.edu4hazards.org
Creator: Sharpe, Justin
Publisher: Edu4hazards
Description: This site, intended for children and young people who are going on holiday with their parents, will introduce them to natural hazards that may occur so that they may respond in an appropriate manner, even if parents or other adults are not aware of the proper precautions. The site contains information for six major hazards: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, flash floods, tornadoes and hurricanes. There is also a page that provides a checklist of things to include in their own hazards emergency kit. The idea is that people become as used to preparing for the eventuality of a hazard event in the same way that people carry first aid kits in the car when traveling.
