scheduling mechanisms work from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It includes a concise overview and mathematical analysis, and includes an online Java based interactive simulation of round-robin scheduling. It includes the Java source code as well as an explanation of how the simulation was created and how it works. This site is applicable for technical / community college or university level computer science or engineering courses for instructors lecture notes, in class demonstrations, or for possible student assignment to experiment with the simulation.
