Title: How A Light Emitting Diode Works
Url: http://www.scienceshareware.com/led_ov.htm
Publisher: Science Shareware
Description: This is a downloadable software simulation of light emitting diode simulation. It demonstrates band gap theory and shows how a single photon is created. Users can adjust the input voltage to allow the recombination of the electrons and holes. Note what happens to the photon when you adjust the band gap energy. This free program requires Windows 9x, NT, XP or later. Note that this will NOT run on Mac OS.
