Description: Created by the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration, StarChild is an online astronomy learning center for elementary and middle school students. Included are materials about the solar system, the Milky Way galaxy, and extra-galactic astronomy. Materials are divided into two different grade levels. Once divided into these two levels, the resource contains information on the solar system, universe, space stuff and a glossary. Translations are also available in German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
