Description: The NanoEd Resource Portal, a “dynamic repository for information dissemination, research and collaborations among the community of nanoscale science and engineering education (NSEE) learners, teachers and researchers,” provides course material for Nanomagnetism. Contributed by Professor John B. Ketterson and Kirill Rivkin Ph.D. from Northwestern University this course is considered an introduction to the world of applied magnetics. The course is divided into three chapters "Magnetic Dipoles", "From Macro to Nano", and "Information Storage". Each chapter provides examples and activities for students in the high school level as well as college level. Two chapters include video simulations demonstrating important concepts, these videos can be viewed using a free VRML Viewer (link provided) or in an alternate Java Version. This is an excellent resource for both students and instructors, which can be easily incorporated into the classroom.
