Url: http://path.upmc.edu/cases/case197.html
Creator: Kelly, Robert
Torbenson, Michael
Publisher: University of Pittsburgh. Dept. of Pathology
Description: This is a case study presented by the University of Pittsburgh Department of Pathology in which a 47-year-old man working in the paint industry with a complicated past medical history is hospitalized and treated over the course of a year. Visitors are given a summary of all of the patient's visits and test results, including images. A final diagnosis is given, with notes by the attending doctors, along with references. This is an excellent resource for students in the health sciences to familiarize themselves with using patient history and laboratory results to diagnose disease. It is also a helpful site for educators to use to introduce or test student learning in clinical immunology.
