Description:
One of the US Geological Survey's Ecosystem Programs, the South Florida Ecosystem Program is an intergovernmental effort "to reestablish and maintain the ecosystem of south Florida," including the region's water regime, hydrology, and geochemical and biological processes. To restore south Florida's ecosystems, the Program relies on the collaboration of over a dozen agencies, and information is disseminated via SOFIA, the South Florida Information Access Website. At the site, users will find background information, proposed and current research programs, links to collaborating agencies, publications, and data.
