Description: This tutorial is designed to aid medical students at all levels understand the laboratory diagnosis of disorders of coagulation. It includes introductory material on the basic laboratory tests, their general application and pitfalls in interpretation. The introduction is followed by a series of short clinical vignettes illustrating a variety of clotting disorders. QuickTime movie player and Java script runtime plug-in scripts are required for some pages. The tutorial concludes with a short self-help quiz covering the major points developed.
