Title: Educator's Guide to The Inverse Square Law
Url: https://solarviews.com/eng/edu/invsquar.htm
Publisher: Views of the Solar System
Description: This resource will demonstrate the inverse square law to students and will show that this law applies to both the intensity of light and the force of gravity. The relative amount of sunlight received in the vicinity of various planets is calculated as an example of the application of this law. The author then goes on to demonstrate that the same mathematical operation can be used to calculate the force of gravity. The discussion of gravity continues with an explanation of orbits and orbital velocities.
