Title: Methodology of a Cladistic Analysis: How to Construct Cladograms

Description: This outline details the six steps necessary for completing a cladistic analysis. The final step is to build the cladogram, following the rules that: all taxa go on the endpoints of the cladogram (never at the nodes), all cladogram nodes must have a list of synapomorphies which are common to all taxa above the nodes, and all synapomorphies appear on the cladogram only once unless the characteristic was derived separately by evolutionary parallelism. The site then explains how to test your cladogram.
