The main page features a colorful diagram showing an overview of the rock cycle with clickable labels leading to explanations of the cycle's various processes (e.g. weathering, sediment deposition, uplift), with each accompanied by several illustrative photos. Also included here are links to definitions of the three fundamental rock types (sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic) with more specific examples for each type, as well as some instances of how they are used in everyday life.
