Title: Electro-deposition of Copper on a Filter Template for Growing Nanowires
Url: https://www.nnin.org/education-training/k-12-teachers/nanotechnology-c...
Publisher: National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network
Description:

This lesson, presented by the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network, allows students a chance to experiment using the electro-plating process to produce nanowires. In addition to learning about the production of these components, students will gain a greater understanding of "reduction-oxidation process, Ohm’s law, and the mechanism of metal electroplating." The included 'Teacher's Guide' details needed materials, step-by-step instructions, and an example of a completed student worksheet. A student worksheet includes activity instructions and questions to assess comprehension.
