Description: This study published by the Applied Information Management Institute looks at women in IT leadership. Men and women in senior positions in IT were interviewed to explore "1) early experiences affecting women’s later interest in IT; 2) career paths and the influence of IT education; 3) barriers to success within IT environments; and 4) organizational practices that may facilitate women’s careers in IT." The results show that early engagement and IT education are important, barriers to women's careers in IT remain, and organizational culture is a core concern.
