Title: A Silly Polymer
Url: http://matse1.matse.illinois.edu/polymers/f.html
Publisher: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering
Description: The Materials Science and Technology Teacher's Workshop (MAST) provides this lesson plan for students learning about polymers. The class will create a material similar to silly putty using cross linking polymers. The module will allow students to observe the changes in physical properties when a polymer is cross linked, as well as the changes in properties at varying temperatures.

The procedure should take about 20-25 minutes of class time. Discussion questions, teacher notes and a link to a video clip are included.
