Title: Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Learning Module
Url: http://scme-support.org/index.php/educational-materials/safety-for-mic...
Publisher: Central New Mexico Community College
Support Center for Microsystems Education
Description: The Support Center for Microsystems Education is a Regional Advanced Technology Education Center funded in part by the National Science Foundation. MEMS fabrication requires the use of many chemicals, some which have potential hazards; therefore, before working in a fabrication facility one must know how to locate a MSDS for a specific chemical and be able to extract all of the safety information that ensures a safe and accident free environment. This learning module provides content and activities that allow the participants to locate MSDSs, extract information and compare the potential hazards of two or more chemicals. Participants will also identify the action needed in case of chemical exposure or spill using the information in a MSDS. Visitors are encouraged to create an account and login in order to access the full set of resources.
