Publisher: Workforce One
Description: This website has several resources from the Energy Skilled Trades Summit that was held in Biloxi, MS in August 2007. These include a podcast, powerpoint presentation, and white paper about the summit. It also includes documents on career awareness and outreach, funding strategies, policy and education, and untapped pools of labor, as well as state action plans and an action planner template. The Quick Start Action Plan (QSAP) is designed to help states jumpstart or continue implementation of solutions to the state's energy and construction workforce issues. The Steps for Success is a process for state and regional asset alignment, economic transformation, and strategic planning. This planning tool provides a list of indicators that assess an area's current economic development situation, and then identifies action steps to successfully implement economic planning and development strategies. Users must register for the site in order to view the content.
