Url: http://www.thecasefiles.org/PBCS/LLab/PBCS_LLab-1.0.html
Publisher: Nashville State Community College
Description: The Case Files from Nashville State Community College are a series of interactive learning modules which present problem-based case studies. The activities encourage students to think critically about a real life problem and understand the steps necessary to solve that problem. The learning cycle includes understanding the situation, analyzing the problem, making insights in the field, developing resources and creating proposals. This activity demonstrates a situation in which a business has experienced extreme growth. A second business, which performs support functions for them, is having a difficult time keeping up with the business growth and added workload. The website includes downloadable documents that students may fill in as they complete the exercise. An instructor guide is also included.
