Url: https://uclalibrary.github.io/creates/
Publisher: C.R.E.A.T.E.S
Description: The C.R.E.A.T.E.S. website uses interactive media, step-by-step directions, and detailed annotation of authentic examples to guide students through the C.R.E.A.T.E.S method. This method is a set of six steps that help learners read and critically analyze scientific papers. This method, pioneered by Dr. Sally Hoskins, has shown to have an impact on undergraduate students' self-confidence in scientific reading, as well as in their general perceptions of and beliefs about science and scientific thinking.

The C.R.E.A.T.E.S. method includes the following steps: make a concept map, read and annotate the methods and results, elucidate the hypothesis for each experiment, analyze and interpret the data, and then think of the next experiment.
