Description: The NCBDDD promotes the health of babies, children and adults and aspires to enhance the potential for full and productive lives. The center works on identifying the causes of and preventing birth defects and developmental disabilities as well as promoting the health and well-being of those with disabilities. On the home page visitors will find a list of specific topics including birth defects, developmental disabilities, blood disorders, and human development. Within each of these specific topics users will find articles, tables and fact lists from a wide range of interests including genetics, research, autism, cerebral palsy, hemochromatosis, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and many more. This site would be useful for those studying or teaching a course in subjects such as Child Development, Human Development, Child Psychology, and Pediatrics.
