Description: This poster describes the efforts at Norfolk State University to retain female computer science majors during the 2005-2006 academic year. They added a course titled Introduction to the Computer Science Profession that discussed topics such as role models, active coping, mentors, pair programming, and collaborative learning. Furthermore, new programming laboratory courses were added that required pair programming.
