Description:
Part of MIT's innovative OpenCourseWare Project, that provides materials from MIT classes to the public on the web, the site displays materials from an advanced urban design studio seminar. Students created proposals for the redevelopment of Cardener River Corridor in Catalunya, Spain taking into account societal, economic, cultural and environmental needs. Partners in the project were Polytechnic University of Catalunya, and the Barcelona Provincial Council (Diputació de Barcelona). Students' final presentations are provided, along with case studies of similar development projects, lecture notes, syllabus and class calendar.
