Title: This Dynamic Planet: World Map of Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Impact Craters, and Plate Tectonics
Url: https://pubs.usgs.gov/imap/2800/
Publisher: National Museum of Natural History (U.S.). Dept. of Mineral Sciences
Description: This map shows Earth's tectonic features, volcanoes, earthquakes, and impact craters. Smaller inset maps are included to depict the North and South Poles. The back of the map provides additional information, highlighting examples of fundamental processes; and providing text, timelines, references, and other resources to enhance understanding. The main and polar maps feature online interactive versions. Users can use the zoom and pan functions to make their own regional maps, and choose from a selection of data layers including volcanoes, plate motion symbols, earthquakes, plate boundary types, and others. Data for any volcano, earthquake, or impact symbol can be found by using the 'Identify' tool. This map is the companion to the United States Geological Survey's (USGS) publication 'This Dynamic Earth'. Downloadable, printable versions of the entire map and selected smaller portions are available, and a hardcopy version is available for purchase.
