Confidence Intervals
pp. 294-298
This module illustrates the concept of sampling error through the simulation of confidence intervals. You can set the sample size, the standard deviation, and the confidence level. Six random samples are selected from the population with a mean of 50. Based on the chosen confidence level, a majority of the confidence intervals will include the population mean. However, a few intervals, highlighted in red, will not include the population mean because of sampling error. Note that each time you hit "Test", the results of six new random samples will be shown.

You may need to install the latest Java Runtime Environment to run this module.
