Title: Popular Branches of Engineering DOC
Url: http://www.ndetp.org/HS/HSU1PopularBranchesofEngineeringAB.doc
Creator: Beattie, Annette
Publisher: Engineering Technology Pathway
Description: Engineering is a vast discipline. The different fields of engineering are so unique that they can barely be grouped together at times. This website, created by Engineering Technology Pathways, presents and then defines many different areas of engineering. This presentation concentrates on careers such as: aerospace, agricultural, biological, chemical, civil, computer software, electrical, environmental, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, metallurgy, nuclear and transportation engineering. The author, Annette Beattie, briefly presents these areas and then focuses on the skills employed by each. Additionally, there is a worksheet that allows students to explore different fields that interest them. In the end, this is a good overview as it introduces students to the different and sometimes lesser-known fields within engineering.
