GIS and Water Resources Modeling Workshop

Apparently this page is accessed by lots of people from all over the world (thanks to Google!). Despite providing these tutorials along with sample data, many are unable to process their own data and/or create reasonable models. Consequently, I get several requests to look at error messages and give advice. The most common error message is "Exceptional error - ArcMap is Closing". To help out some of these folks I have been offering GIS and Water Resources Modeling workshop here at Purdue University since 2008. Past workshops were very successful, with participants from consulting industry, state and federal employees. The 2018 workshop will take place in India at NIT, Warangal. I will post more details once the dates are finalized. If you have any questions, send me an email (vmerwade_at_purdue_dot_edu).

You can also visit my Facebook Page for these tutorials to post your comments, suggest ideas for new tutorials, and become a part of this effort! I will appreciate your contribution!! You can also get live updates on my research and teaching by following me on Twitter.

Note: All tutorials have links for necessary datasets. The data link works best with Internet Explorer. Alternative link to get data is https://web.ics.purdue.edu/~vmerwade/data/. If you have questions, send email to vmerwade_at_purdue.edu
